The collection contains some correspondence between F. Campbell and R. Vest. The bulk of the collection consists of "Rough Diaries", 1896-1922, kept by Richard Vest for the day-to-day running of the "Yarralumla" property. There is no diary for 1903. The material is the property of Mr. D. Vest, who intends to deposit it in the National Library of Australia eventually.
